I think every American should watch 102 minutes. It's emotional, it will make you cry, make you mad, give you anxiety, and many other emotions...But you will see the real story, unedited, from normal everyday people like us that turned on their cameras that day. You will see what and feel what thousands of people in NYC felt on 9/11. You will see it from a different perspective. Just watch it. It's an important or "the most" important part of America's history.
I'm sure it will air again, check your tv guide if you didn't get to see it tonight.
Well it looks most of us found our way back over here again....at least, or hopefully temporarily. I do think this is the next best thing for blogging, but it lacks some the features of EFX and doesn't entirely have the community feel to it. Oh well....what are you gonna do....right?
First things first, I need to get rid of this god-awful design, so guess what I'll be doing tonight....lol
I have started shopping for my goodie bags, and should get the first one mailed out by the end of the week. Have a good night everyone!
I want to wish my dear friend Cam a Happy Birthday!! Hope your day is as wonderful as you.....:) Everyone go wish him a Happy Birthday!!
Where do you go to find them???.....
I don't know about you guys, but the thought of Iran having a nuclear bomb scares the hell out of me......
Well crap....here we are again....
Just some random stuff today...
My daughter is moving into a small apartment and has made the tough decision to give her dog Chanp away that she's had since he was about five weeks old. She feels that he will be cooped up in a 10 x 10 room all day while she is working, no one to let him out, plus she will be tutoring soon which makes the day even longer that he would have to be alone. She met a couple of really nice people yesterday, she liked both of them, but one of them stood out to her more than the other. She lives about 3 hours away from her though, so it will be hard for her. The one that lives closer told her she could visit anytime, which my daughter would only have done a couple of times to make sure everything is going well anyway. She is going to drive out and see where the person lives, bring Champ and see how he fits into the surroundings. I imagine she is going to have such a difficult time after she leaves him. She's cried a multitude of tears already. Here are some pictures of him, he's a cutie, and has more character than any dog I've ever seen before.
He's a cutie.........The woman also has another dog, so he'll have someone to run around with all day.
My son Josh had his hours cut in half at work, so he took another job working 8 hours a night on the graveyard shift. So he has been working from 8:30am - 12:30pm at his regular job, and then working 11:pm - 7am, which has left him time for sleep and that's about it. Last week he went into the competitor's store and asked if they were hiring. They seemed really enthused because he has almost two years of experience in tile and granite, so they told him to come in for an interview Monday (today). He went to the interview and said it went great!! He thinks he has a really good chance for this job, and they said if they hire him, they would at least match his pay. So wish him luck!!
My son Seth is thinking about moving back to Reno. Again.....lol He hates the Colorado winters although he loves the state. He's doing some serious thinking, I'm not sure what the result will be. If he did, all my kids would be up there again, which is good. Maybe someday my daughters will actually start talking to each other again.....
There isn't much news with my youngest daughter. She's just plugging along, working and hanging out. I've been lucky to be able to work at home much more, which gives me more time in my day, and I don't have to battle the traffic. It's been a godsend....
Well that's about it for now. Have an awesome week:)
Well I guess this is my home away from home, because the only time I manage to get here is when EFX is down...lol I don't have time for two blogs. I wanted to change my layout to something brighter, and I found a logo that I love, but with this new widescreen monitor that I have nothing looks the same. I had the logo stretched almost to 1200 and it was still too short, so I'm at a loss on what to do there. Maybe I'll just have to use premades here, although you guys know how much I LOVE to design....haha
Anyway, I imagine if EFX doesn't come back up soon, I'll be seeing a few of you over here. Not much planned for the weekend, doing some training tomorrow for my work at home program that I'm starting, and then heading over to my brother's house for a week while he goes on vacation. It will be a nice break, give me some space for a week, and of course the shorter drive to work is always wonderful! I hope you all have a terrific weekend...:)
Here she is, Miss Stella.
I have been having the worst time trying to get a picture of her. I took some with my phone but they wouldn't send to my email. I'm not sure why, I pay for unlimited picture taking and sending. I guess I better call Sprint. She is making herself at home more, and she decided she likes my mom's satin sheets, so she's been camping out there the past day and a half. Traitor...haha Anyway, she is a sweetheart. And I finally have my cat!! :)
Oh my goodness... did you wake the sleepy cat before the nap was over ? Lol ! read more
